There She Blows…More Wind Than Rosie On The View
Monday, December 29th, 2008
Wow, I’ve heard of windy conditions, but this is ridiculous. They actually had to fix the field goal posts during the game because the wind almost took them down. It’s a shame that an 11-5 team misses out on the playoffs but a barely .500 team like San Diego gets in. The NFL needs to reexamine how the playoff teams are decided.

Baron Davis Having Buyers Remorse
Monday, December 29th, 2008As seen on Sportsline.com
According to the Contra Costa Times, Warriors swingman Stephen Jackson spent some time over the weekend with former teammate Baron Davis. And guess what? The Baron said “my bad” on opting out of his deal with the Warriors and signing a five-year, $65 million deal with the Clippers.
“He wants to come back,” Jackson said. “And if he wants to come back, I want him back.”
Things have gone south fast in L.A.; Davis has clashed with coach Mike Dunleavy and the Clips are 8-21.
I guess it goes to show that money can’t buy you happiness, especially if your on a losing team. The Warriors would have been great this year if Baron would have stayed. I hope you enjoy your next 5 years in LA Baron, you deserve it!!

Who Is The King Of The Cassel?
Monday, December 29th, 2008NBCSports.com is reporting that New England Patriots QB Tom Brady is not recovering from his knee surgery as planned, and is at risk of missing some or all of next season. Due to scar tissue from the original procedure, and additional procedures due to infection, Brady has not been able to begin fully rehabilitating his leg. It is also thought that the ligament may still be loose, and another surgery could be needed to repair it. If another surgery is needed, it could significantly affect Brady’s ability to get back in time for next season. Meanwhile SI.com’s Peter King disputes NBCSports’ report that Tom Brady’s recovery from ACL and MCL surgery is “well” behind schedule.
The Patriots better take a long hard look at this in the offseason. They might be better off to sign Matt Cassel, and try and trade Brady. Cassel is younger and not coming off a major knee injury. If Tom Brady is not able to make it back, and the Pat’s don’t resign Cassel, NFL greats the likes of Kevin O’Connell and Matt Gutierrez will be called on to start. They might just help keep the streak alive of NOT making the playoffs.
