Halle Berry Sexiest Woman Alive…But On What Planet?

Tuesday, December 30th, 2008

Halle Berry was named Esquire Magazine’s sexiest woman alive in their November 2008 issue.  “I don’t know exactly what it means, but being 42 and having just had a baby I think I’ll take it, ” Berry said about getting the honor.  Past winners of the award include Charlize Theron and Jessica Biel.

Halle Berry is hot, but sexiest woman alive, I’d have to disagree with that.  The people at Esquire need to have their eyes checked.  I submit the two pictures above of Berry on an average day out.  I’ve woke up to better looking girls than that.  The third pic shows what she can look like with photoshop and a whole lot of product.  Angelina Jolie is my pick, she oozes sexy, and probably a few other things!

Mike Shanahan Given The Mile High Boot

Tuesday, December 30th, 2008

The Denver Broncos have fired Coach Mike Shanahan after collapse that saw them losing four straight games and lead in the division to the San Diego Chargers.  This ends a 13 year career in Denver for Shanahan, who started with the Broncos in 1995.  Shanahan had been the beloved coach of the Broncos after leading them to back to back Superbowl victories in 1998 and 1999, but recent mediocrity including 3 straight years out of the playoffs had fans calling for a change.  Broncos Owner Pat Bowlen released this statement; “After giving this careful consideration, I have concluded that a change in our football operations is in the best interests of the Denver Broncos.”

It’s about time!!!  This guy has been riding Elways coat tail since Elway carried his butt to the two championships.  The Broncos collapse was just the icing on the cake.  I guess not making the playoffs better than a 1 and done, at least the players get to start their vacations early.

The Jets make (sex) change!! Get rid of Mangina

Tuesday, December 30th, 2008

Eric Mangini was fired yesterday, after 3 seasons as head coach of the New York Jets. The Jets started the season 8-3 under new quarterback Brett Farve but fell apart at the end going 1-4 the final 5 games of the year. Adding insult to injury the Jets could have made the playoffs with a win at home against the Miami Dolphins but instead watched as the QB they released (Chad Pennington) before the season started, led the Dolphins to victory. The 37-year old Mangini had a record of 23-26 in his 3 seasons as head coach. He brought the Jets to the playoffs in his first season but not the last two.

Money Cash HO… tels (Jay-Z ’s J Hotel axed)

Tuesday, December 30th, 2008

as seen on www.HotelChatter.com

Jigga What? Jay-Z Hotel No More

Jay-Z has 99 problems and a hotel is one. Last year around this time, hotel geeks around the world were throwing their hands up and saying, “Big Pimpin’ up in NYC” when it was announced that rapper Jay-Z (real name: Shawn Carter) would be opening his own Jay-Z-branded J Hotel on New York’s West Side. (Ok, maybe it was just us.)

Yet Curbed reports that as the economy continues its epic fail ride, the J-Hotel is no longer. According to the NY Times the developer Charles Blaichman, he of Soho House, cannot secure financing for the hotel and is now currently trying to rent the former Time Warner Cable warehouse.

Mr. Blaichman, who has built two dozen projects in the past 20 years, is struggling to borrow money: $370 million for the three hotels, which include a venture with Jay-Z, the hip-hop mogul. A year ago, it would have seemed a reasonable amount for Mr. Blaichman. Not now.

“Even the banks who want to give us money can’t,” he said.

J Hotels is not dead in the water, we don’t think. Maybe when times are good again, we will see a J Hotel rising from some city, somewhere, someday. Until then, “change clothes and go.” (Sorry, couldn’t resist.)

How is Jay gonna tackle the hotel game when he couldn’t produce gold artists as former Def Jam president. Was the 40/40 club in Vegas even open a year ?? Do they still make Armadale Vodka ?? Just random thoughts
