It’s becoming increasingly harder to hear Charles Barkley now.

T-Mobile has pulled its commercials featuring the former NBA star and on-hiatus TNT game analyst in light of his recent DUI bust.

“Given the recent developments, for the time being, we’ve replaced TV ads featuring Mr. Barkley with more general-market advertising,” read a statement released by the mobile carrier, per the New York Post. “As he works through his personal matters, we will evaluate where to go from here.”

In T-Mobile’s “Who’s in your Fave 5?” ads, Barkley plays the role of mentor and good-natured harasser to current pro-basketball stud Dwayne Wade.

Barkley, who’s been voted one of the 50 greatest NBA players of all time, was arrested early on Dec. 31 in Scottsdale, Ariz., on suspicion of drunken driving after officers allegedly spotted him running a stop sign.

Tests ultimately showed that his blood-alcohol level was 0.149 percent, according to the Gilbert Police Department.

Last week TNT announced that its outspoken, Emmy-winning commentator was taking a leave of absence.

That was the final shot at Charles getting a statue in Philly, on a horse eating a cheese steak!! Instead I hear he is gonna focus on his BBF franchise (bottles, bear claws and fellatio) cuming to a town near you.

NBA insider Sam Smith, a writer for Bulls.com is reporting that there are talks of a trade between the Phoenix Suns and Toronto Raptors that would send Point Guard Steve Nash to Toronto.  Although, as of now it is just speculation, with his former life of reporting for the Chicago Tribune and his access to NBA executives, Smith could be on to something here.  Nash has repeatedly complained about the team, and was recently quoted as saying, “I feel like I’ve been traded.  I feel like I’m on a different team because everything’s changed so much around here,”  after Nash’s good friend Raja Bell was traded to Charlotte along with Boris Diaw.  Nash has already made it clear that he would be interested in finishing up his career in either New York or back home in Canada.  And with Nash’s numbers down, and his continually getting beat on defense against younger, faster players, maybe Nash sees the writing on the wall, and realizes his career may be winding down.  The trade being rumored would look like this:  The Suns would trade Steve Nash, Leandro Barbosa and Robin Lopez to Toronto, and would get back Jose Calderon, Andrea Bargnani, Anthony Parker, Jason Kapono and possibly Jamario Moon.  Of course, by making this trade, the Suns would just about be throwing in the towel for this year, and could be the start of a rebuilding process in Phoenix.  It may just depend on how the Suns play for the next few weeks, and what their playoff chances look like come the trade deadline.

This year really is the last hoorah for the Suns for the next few years.  Nash is getting older as is Shaq, and Amare will likely be gone by 2010.  I hope they can pull it together and win one this year, but it looks like the Arizona Cardinals may have a better chance of winning a championship than the Suns do.

Kurt Warner recently drew a picture of what he thought God looked like during the filming of a documentary called God In The Box.  The video below shows Warner drawing the picture while discussing his beliefs.

I’m glad Kurt Warner is a better QB than he is an artist.  Hopefully he has God on his side this weekend against Philly.  Maybe Warner sold his soul in order to get his Cardinals team this far in the playoffs.  I’ve been stocking up on canned goods and bottled water, because if Arizona makes it to the Super Bowl, I will for sure know Armageddon is upon us!  Hope they can finish my private bomb shelter before Sunday!!

Here is Eddie Curry’s response to the allegations that are being made by his former driver David Kluchinsky as told to the NY Post.

“It’s false, and everyone who knows me knows I’m not a racist,” he said after the Knicks beat the Hornets in New Orleans. “I’ve never made a comment like that, playing, or nothing. . . . That’s incredible, man.”…[Curry] aid last night that Kuchinsky had contacted a friend of his, “and every time, it was something different.First time, it was to curse me out. Second time, it was to apologize. Third time, it was ‘If Eddy doesn’t call me, I’m going to sue him.’ I just never, ever thought it would go past what it did, which was just idle threats, money-or-else kind of stuff.”

Knicks center Eddy Curry was slapped with a shocking sex-harassment suit Monday by his former driver, who claims the 6-foot-11 hoopster tried to solicit gay sex from him.

The stunning court papers claim Curry, a married father of three, repeatedly approached chauffeur David Kuchinsky “in the nude,” allegedly telling him, “Look at me, Dave, look” and “Come and touch it, Dave.”
