Even in retirement, Floyd Mayweather Jr. thinks that he’s the reigning pound-for-pound champion. And not Manny Pacquiao.

“I take my hat off and congratulations to Manny Pacquiao if that’s what they (public) feel. But… he’s been knocked out before, and three or four years ago he got out-boxed by a washed out Erik Morales,” Mayweather told Gabriel Morency of American radio sports program Sports Rage.

Mayweather said Pacquiao may have inherited his pound-for-pound title, but he raised some serious doubts about this, and at the moment, there’s no interest in fighting the Filipino superstar.

Mentioned this late last night when Ye put a really vague picture on his blog, but Kanye West has been wearing his Kanye West Louis Vuitton hightops out and about lately. Well it seems that someone at the club he attended got a couple of good shots of his shoes, posted above and below. These are pretty cool, but at the rumored $600 price tag I think I’ll pass. And really, I’m not sure who they’re targeting with this shoe beyond celebrities. Most Kanye fans don’t have $600 to burn on shoes, and most Louis Vuitton wearers don’t dress like Ye. Might as well have just made this a Kanye exclusive and not released it. Anyway, the KW for LV should start dropping in June.

CHICAGO — A woman found shot to death in an apartment was a former girlfriend of New York Knicks player Eddy Curry and the mother of his 3-year-old son, Curry’s attorney said Sunday.

A relative found the bodies of Nova Henry, 24, and her 9-month-old daughter, Ava, in their apartment Saturday evening, Chicago police spokeswoman Monique Bond said. Both died from multiple gunshot wounds, the Cook County medical examiner’s office said Sunday.

Curry’s 3-year-old son was found unharmed at the scene. Curry is a former player for the Chicago Bulls.

No one had been charged as of Sunday afternoon.

A Knicks source close to Curry told the New York Daily News that Curry was “distraught” by the news. Curry cried after learning of the murders following New York’s loss to Philadelphia on Saturday, according to the newspaper.

Curry’s attorney, Kelly Saindon, said the basketball player’s family was also devastated by the news.

The Knicks issued a statement Sunday on Curry’s behalf asking the media to respect the privacy of the two families.

“The Curry family is deeply saddened by this tragic loss and will keep the Henry family in their prayers,” the statement said.

Police believe the killings near the city’s South Side were the result of a domestic dispute, Bond said. She would not elaborate.

Rob Bryant, who said he was Nova Henry’s uncle, told the Chicago Sun-Times that Henry had a restraining order against her boyfriend.

The city recently has seen several high-profile deaths blamed on domestic violence. A brother-in-law of Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Hudson pleaded not guilty Tuesday to charges he fatally shot Hudson’s mother, brother and nephew. Prosecutors allege William Balfour killed them in October 2008 because he was upset the actress’s sister had been dating another man.

Curry and his wife, Patricia, also had a scare there. The couple were bound and robbed at gunpoint in their suburban Chicago home in 2007.
