Barkley Jail Press Conference Video – Doesn’t Like TMZ !!

Charles Barkley finished delivering a news conference from inside the Tent City Jail in Phoenix, AZ this morning, and his fellow inmates are already cheering for him like it’s the “Shawshank Redemption.”

Sitting next to Sheriff Joe Arpaio, the NBA Hall-of-famer started with a typical PSA monologue, saying he made a mistake and had “learned not to drink and drive.” Barkley reiterated that he is not a role model. Understatement of the year.
But the good stuff came after the newser, when inmate P519798 played like a politician — shaking hands and even posing for pictures! All within the confines of jail. Oh, and apparently he’s aware that TMZ broke the story of his DUI arrest.
If you’re wondering what Sir Charles will do in his downtime over the next three days — he’s reading “The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Learning Spanish.” Ay Dios Mios!

PHOENIX – Charles Barkley is serving time in Tent City. The former Phoenix Suns star and TNT commentator began his three-day sentence Saturday for driving under the influence. Barkley was originally sentenced to 10 days but it was reduced by a judge on the condition that he completes an alcohol treatment program. Barkley will not spend much time in the tents, though. He will be on work release. That means no pink boxers. Barkley gets to wear his own clothes and he will only be there overnight. He was arrested in December after failing a field sobriety test in Scottsdale. He has since apologized and is back working as an NBA analyst for TNT.

A lot of athletes preach about staying true to their roots. Every Monday and Wednesday, Mark Munoz lives it, teaching young wrestlers (some as young as his seven year
old son) the basics of the sport that has given him his athletic foundation and that has carried him to the UFC after just five professional fights.
Sure, it’s a way to help make ends meet as he begins his UFC journey this weekend against Matt Hamill, but once he starts talking about the sport he has been immersed in since the age of 13, you get the impression that this is almost certainly a labor of love.
“Wrestling’s my love and my passion,” said Munoz. “I love doing it and I truly believe I have a gift in doing it.”
So for two nights every week, Munoz’ wrestling club at Irvin High School takes precedence in his life, and he’s drilling the basics into his students’ heads.
