Kareem Abdul Jabbar in a recent interview with NBA.com disagrees with Shaquille O’Neil s  statement that he and Kobe are the greatest  big-man little-man combo in NBA history. Kareem goes on to say that Tim Duncan is his generations greatest big man. Here is some of the NBA.com interview :

NBA.com: Shaq is quoted as saying he and Kobe are the best big-man, little-man combo in NBA history. What do you think?

Kareem: He’s entitled to think what he thinks. It doesn’t really faze me what his thoughts are on that. He has his idea of what his place is in the game. I’m not going to dispute it.

NBA.com: Who is the most overlooked big man in the game today?

Kareem: The big man that I think has been the best of this generation is Tim Duncan. He gets the job done, night in and night out. He’s versatile, totally able to do the things his team needs him to do to win. Tim is the leader for the Spurs. He’s consistent. He does a number of different things, offensively and defensively. He’s a good rebounder. He’s also consistent offensively to be a go-to guy — nothing is lacking in his game.

Given Shaq’s recent history of responding to perceived slights , one can only wonder if a war of words is brewing with 2 of the greatest centers to play for the NBA, much less the Lakers.

If D. Wade isn’t voted this years MVP, I’ll give my HeyKobe.com salary to charity.  If a womens college basketball player can do it, why can’t I??

As Seen On Yahoo.com

Sports guarantees aren’t what they used to be. Nowadays, barely a month goes by without a player making an empty assurance that his or her team will win a game/series/championship, etc. The problem with such guarantees is that there’s no accountability should they go sour. Oklahoma women’s basketball star Courtney Paris apparently agrees. The All-American senior recently told Sooner fans that if OU doesn’t win the national championship this year, she will pay back her scholarship … all $64,000 of it.
