Brian Dawkins gives fired Eagles employee tickets to game !!

Last month, Dan Leone was fired from his part-time job with the Philadelphia Eagles after criticizing the team for letting veteran Brian Dawkins leave via free agency. Leone was a seasonal game day employee, which meant he worked during the Eagles’ 10 home dates each season. His termination meant he would have been unlikely to attend any of those games in 2009. But now help is coming from an unexpected source.

The song is called “My Flow So Tight” by a little-known hip-hop group called Smoke Jumpers. It features the repeated line: “Chris Brown should get his ass kicked.”
A Web site for the group hyped the song as “the official Chris Brown dis record.” Radio stations in cities such as Chicago, Los Angeles and New York have recently begun playing it.
The 19-year-old Brown allegedly beat his girlfriend, singer Rihanna, in February the night of the Grammy Awards. Brown is scheduled for arraignment on felony assault and criminal threat charges on Monday.

Learn MoreAllen Iverson done for the season (Done from Detroit ??)
Last Updated on Friday, 3 April 2009 03:10 Written by admin Friday, 3 April 2009 03:10
Allen Iverson will miss the remainder of the season, Detroit Pistons president of basketball operations Joe Dumars announced Friday afternoon.

Iverson
Iverson, who had been coming off the bench since returning from a back injury, will be shut down for the rest of the regular season and the playoffs. The Detroit News was the first to report the developement, which came days after Iverson complained of his new role.
The all-star guard missed 16 games between Feb. 27 and March 28 after leaving a game at New Orleans with a sore back on Feb. 25.
“After talking with Allen and our medical staff, we feel that resting Allen for the remainder of the season is the best course of action at this time,” Dumars said in statement. “While he has played in our last three games, he is still feeling some discomfort and getting him physically ready to compete at the level he is accustomed to playing this late in the season does not seem possible at this point.”
Iverson returned March 29 against Philadelphia and scored eight points with two assists and two rebounds in 21 minutes. In his three games back since the initial injury, he has averaged 7.7 points, 1.3 rebounds and 2.7 assists in 18.7 minutes a game. He complained about his role as a reserve.

Update to our post last night about Google/Twitter talks: New sources say that Google is interested in acquiring Twitter, and has had talks with the company about a deal. Google’s internal valuation, however, would value the company at a token premium above Twitter’s last round of financing valuation, around $250 million. Some Twitter insiders want the deal, but our sources say CEO Evan Williams wouldn’t sell even for $1 billion. “He may blink, but he wouldn’t do it,” said one source.

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (AP) — A gunman opened fire at an immigration services center in downtown Binghamton on Friday, killing as many as 13 people before authorities found him dead, officials said.
Gov. David Paterson said at a news conference that 12 or 13 people had been killed.
A law enforcement official said the body of the man believed to be the gunman was found in an office of the American Civic Association building. The official was not authorized to speak publicly about the details of an ongoing hostage situation and was talking on condition of anonymity.
The gunman barricaded the rear door of the building with his car before entering through the front door, firing his weapon, the official said.
Learn MoreGiants Pull The Trigger: Release Plaxico

The New York Giants have apparently had enough of Plaxico Burress, as reports have just released that the Pro Bowl Wide Reciever has been released. Burress missed a large portion of last season after shooting himself in the leg inside a New York nightclub. He is facing 15 years in prision on Felony gun charges.
The Giants finally shot down Plaxico’s chances of playing again for their team. I’m sure another trigger happy owner will pick him up.

Learn MoreRichard Hamilton’s Personal assistant Rips RIP !!
Last Updated on Friday, 3 April 2009 12:03 Written by admin Friday, 3 April 2009 12:03
Richard Hamilton says he is pursuing legal action against the former Connecticut men’s basketball team manager who is embroiled in an alleged recruiting scandal at the university.

Hamilton
Hamilton, a star swingman at UConn in the 1990s, did not offer specifics of charges in his interview this week with the Hartford Courant. The veteran Detroit Piston contends that Josh Nochimson stole as much as $1 million from him beginning in 2003 or 2004 and ending in 2008 through unauthorized use of an American Express card.
Nochimson was a student manager at UConn who later followed Hamilton to the NBA as his personal assistant and then became the star player’s business manager.
“It’s crazy because when I left for the NBA, he was coming with me just to learn the business, learn how to be a manager for athletes or whatever,” Hamilton told the Courant. “I didn’t pay him anything. I was like, ‘OK, you can come along.’ It was like an internship and that was it … and I saw how good he was at being a manager, helping me around the house, getting my stuff together, making sure … you know, he was like my personal assistant.
“I saw how good he was and then I started compensating him to be that.”
It wasn’t until later that Hamilton said he noticed Nochimson was using his credit card in unauthorized ways.
“The only thing he had access to, but he really didn’t have access to, was my American Express card, which I just use to pay my bills,” Hamilton told the Courant. “So, really, I never looked over it. I knew every month … I knew my phone bills, my utilities and all the stuff I could pay on my American Express. I didn’t use it for anything else, so there was really no need for me to check it.
“When I checked my American Express bill, they wouldn’t let me into my account because my security information didn’t add up to what they had on file. He changed everything … just changed it. So my American Express account was like his, you know what I’m saying? It was crazy. … We’ve been on it; as soon as we found out we’ve been on it. When I looked at all my statements and stuff, he was doing it since like 2003-04 to ‘08.”

Mike Vick to work construction ?? Hoping for Septemeber reinstatement
Last Updated on Friday, 3 April 2009 12:35 Written by admin Friday, 3 April 2009 12:35

Michael Vick’s bankruptcy hearing on Thursday went pretty much as expected. There was the news that he’ll be paid $600,000 for cooperating with a video company producing a documentary on him, and there were some explanations over how Vick will repay the many creditors he owes money.
But slipped in among all that was the rather shocking news that Vick already has a potential job lined up. If the NFL won’t reinstate him right away, he already has another job offer — as a construction worker.
