Allen Iverson has gone from being a one-man economic stimulus plan for the city’s downtown casinos to persona non grata. He has spent a ton of money down there, but recently he’s been banned from both MGM and Greektown casinos.

The NBA is looking into a disturbance at Greektown that involved one of Iverson’s body guards. Iverson may have been trying to act as a peacemaker but his body guard was involved in some kind of tussle.

Iverson, though, has been banned mostly for his boorish behavior. He is a bad loser, and he loses a lot, often throwing his chips or cards at the dealer. He has been warned about improper behavior at the tables repeatedly. He is often loud and disruptive, according to witnesses, rude to dealers, other players and the wait staff.

SPARKS, Nevada —  A woman who had planned to spend a quiet Easter at home is $33 million richer after hitting the second largest Megabucks jackpot in history at a Nevada casino.

Slot machine maker International Game Technology says 38-year-old Rachael Renee Romanick hit the jackpot Sunday night at Terrible’s Rail City in Sparks.

Romanick says a friend persuaded her to join him at the casino that night. She says she had been playing the machine for about 10 minutes when she landed the big prize.

A guest on Glenn Beck’s Fox News show passed out as the opening segment was coming to an end.

Beck and his guest, David Buckner, professor of organizational leadership at Columbia University program, were standing at a monitor talking about what is leading American companies to bankruptcy. Around 5:11pm, as they were getting to the final point, Buckner whispered to Beck, “I’m passing out.”

Beck asked Buckner if he wanted to “sit down.” As Beck took his hand, Buckner fell to the ground. The director then cut to a camera shot which showed Buckner on the studio floor, before going to break.

When he came back from the commercial, Beck, who called Buckner “a good friend,” said the professor “was ill, apparently, this morning and just got a little lightheaded, but he is fine and we have medical professionals on the way to the set, and he is up and alert and fine.”

“It’s a wild day here,” said Beck.

Buckner was a guest on last Thursday’s Glenn Beck show as well.

Marilyn Chambers, a former Ivory Snow detergent model who became a porn star, died Sunday at her Canyon Country home. She was 56.

Chambers, whose real name is Marilyn Ann Taylor, was found unresponsive at 8:51 p.m. at her residence it the 16000 block of Vasquez Canyon, said Los Angeles County coroner’s spokesman Ed Winter. The cause of death is under investigation but foul play was not suspected and an autopsy is pending.

LOS ANGELES – Court records show Mel Gibson’s wife has filed for divorce after 28 years of marriage.

Robyn Gibson filed the petition in Los Angeles, citing irreconcilable differences.

The petition doesn’t give any details about the split. Robyn Gibson is seeking jewelry and some other property, and has suggested joint custody for their 9-year-old son.

The records show the couple were married in June 1980.

FORT MYERS — It could have ended so differently.

Five people on board a plane that took off from Marco Island Executive Airport on Sunday got back on the ground safely after the pilot of their private plane died mid-air.

One passenger assisted by three air traffic controllers and a pilot relaying cockpit instructions from Connecticut worked together to avoid further tragedy.

The pilot’s name and cause of death were not available as of Sunday night, nor were the names of the four passengers on the Beechcraft King Air 200 twin-engine plane. Due to Federal Aviation Administration rules, the names of the air traffic controllers who helped bring the plane down have not been released, said FAA spokeswoman Kathleen Bergen.
