Ronaldo’s Brazilian soccer team, Corinthians, won the Brazilian league’s Paulista Championship on Sunday by drawing Santos 1-1. During the  celebration, they put a bunch of players and team execs. on a platform and raised them into the air while streamers and fireworks whizzed  around them.  Some streamers lit on fire from the fireworks and engulfed team captain William, who miraculously was not injured.

LOS ANGELES, California (CNN) — Miss California USA Carrie Prejean has assured pageant officials that a lingerie modeling photo published online this week is the only one she posed for, the state pageant director said.

Miss California USA Carrie Prejean may lose her crown because of some semi-nude photos she appeared in.

But the Web site that published the first picture said it has several more that it will “slowly roll out” starting Wednesday afternoon.

The possibility that racier images could emerge prompted “closed-door meetings” Tuesday to consider stripping Prejean of her beauty queen title, pageant spokesman Ron Neal said.

TMZ Reports: Carrie Prejean has lied to the pageant that feeds her. TMZ has obtained an email Carrie sent to Keith Lewis, Co-Executive Director of Miss California USA. The email, sent yesterday, refers to the topless photo of her circulating on the Internet. The email reads: “This was when I was 17 years old. I was a minor. It was when I was first getting into the modeling world, being naive, and young. I shouldnt (sic) have taken the photo of me in my underwear. There are no other photos of me. This was the only one I took.”
