SEATTLE – The odyssey of Mary Kay Letourneau, which began years ago when she was a 34-year-old teacher who raped a sixth-grade student, has now evolved into “Hot for Teacher” night at a Pioneer Square bar.

But the bar’s owner says the event is all in fun, and he hopes people take it in the right spirit.

Letourneau, who eventually served time for raping her former student then later married him after her release from prison, will be hosting the event Saturday at Fuel Sports Eats & Beats on Washington Street.

Deputies are looking for a mother and son after the state planned to take the 555-pound 14-year-old boy into protective custody, according to Greenville County deputies. Alexander Draper is considered to be at a critical stage of health risk. When officers went to take the boy from the home, they found that he and his mother, Jerri Gray, had left the home on Goodwin Bridge Road in Travelers Rest.According to the Department of Social Services, Gray was supposed to appear in family court with the boy on Tuesday, but they did not show up.At the hearing, Alexander was ordered into the custody of the state due to medical neglect and Gray’s failure to appear in court. Investigators said that the mother and son’s whereabouts are unknown to family members.

It is being reported that Jay-Z has bought back the last remaining album of his Island Def Jam deal for a sum of $5 Million. Some question if this is a smart business move, with the state of the economy, declining record sales and the threat of leaks and downloading. Also just how the album will be marketed and distributed under Jay’s new deal with Live Nation is uncertain at this time.

A former professional football player and his ex-girlfriend have been charged in the killing of her wealthy boyfriend for money, a breakthrough in a cold case dating to 1994.

Eric Naposki and Nanette Packard McNeal face the possibility of life sentences over the shooting of Bill McLaughlin, according to the Orange County, California, district attorney.

The forums at video site eBaum’s World and 4chan organized the mass porn “carpet bombing” on YouTube, according to Ars Technica.
