Tiger Woods released a statement about the car accident. Here is what he had to say :

As you all know, I had a single-car accident earlier this week, and sustained some injuries. I have some cuts, bruising and right now I’m pretty sore.

This situation is my fault, and it’s obviously embarrassing to my family and me. I’m human and I’m not perfect. I will certainly make sure this doesn’t happen again.

TMZ has obtained the 911 call made when Tiger Woods crashed his SUV early Friday morning.

The caller, a male, can be heard telling dispatchers, “I need an ambulance immediately, I have someone down outside my house … It’s a car accident … My neighbor, he hit the tree. I see him and he’s laying down.”

Tiger Wood’s wife Elin caused the cuts and scratches (and broke his car window with golf club!!)

Tiger Woods did not suffer facial lacerations from a car accident. They were inflicted by his wife, Elin Nordegren — according to a conversation Woods had Friday after the accident.

Tiger has yet to be formally interviewed by the Florida Highway Patrol — that should happen this afternoon. But we’re told Tiger had a conversation Friday — with a non-law enforcement type — detailing what went down before his Escalade hit a fire hydrant.

We’re told he said his wife had confronted him about reports that he was seeing another woman. The argument got heated and, according to our source, she scratched his face up. We’re told it was then Woods beat a hasty retreat for his SUV — but according to our source, Woods says his wife followed behind with a golf club. As Tiger drove away, she struck the vehicle several times with the club.

More info is slowly leaking about the Tiger Woods car crash. Now it is being reported that Tiger and his wife Elin got in an argument inside their house shortly before the crash. Elin was inside the house when she heard the accident and came running out. She used a golf club (reportedly) to smash out the back window of the vehicle and help get Woods out.

TMZ just spoke with one of Tiger’s neighbors and got this account :

One of Tiger Woods‘ neighbors tells TMZ he just saw Tiger and, with the exception of a few scratches, he looks “fine.”

As for reports of facial lacerations, the neighbor says it just looked like a few cuts.

The infamous tree that Tiger hit is now gone. The whole area is blocked off.

Since alcohol was ruled out, could it be that blowing trees caused to Tiger to hit a tree … ?? Even if there was more too this, witch it sounds like there is, I have 2 words for you : Nike and Gatorade, nothing more will come of this except an “I was really exhausted after Thanksgiving and shouldn’t have been driving” story.

Professional golf superstar Tiger Woods was seriously hurt  when his 2009 Cadillac suv crashed into a fire hydrant and then a tree, on Deacon Circle at 2:25 AM. He was taken to the  Ocoee Health Central Hospital.  It is not known what caused the crash, as Woods was alone in the vehicle. Investigators say alcohol was not a factor. More to come …

WASHINGTON – Toyota Motor Corp. said Wednesday it will replace accelerator pedals on about 4 million recalled vehicles in the United States because the pedals can get stuck in the floor mats.

As a temporary step, Toyota will have dealers shorten the length of the gas pedals beginning in January while the company develops replacement pedals for their vehicles, the Transportation Department and Toyota said. New pedals will be available beginning in April, and some vehicles will have brake override systems installed as a precaution.
