NEW YORK — Nate Robinson says he’ll be defending his slam dunk title at All-Star Weekend because he’s required to do so under NBA rules.

In actuality, he isn’t.

LeBron James won’t be trying to unseat the champion, and it’s not clear why he changed his mind.

Less than a month before the NBA holds its signature event, Robinson threw a potential monkey wrench into the All-Star festivities when he declared Monday he’ll be participating in the dunk contest because “the champion has to go back.”

I think I will throw the challenge flag and review it a few more times. Look at Mike Golic next to him, thinking “I am so glad I am not you right now”, while playing it off like he didn’t hear anything. Do they (ESPN) let it go assuming it was an honest mistake or ask for an apology and risk bringing the topic up many many more times ?? This needs to be the next Wanna Get Away Southwest Airlines commercial !!

This was some BS, I would get a good lawyer and sue the sh%t out of the PD and stadium security, he missed the rest of the game,  and who knows when the Jets will win another playoff game ?? An air passenger was arrested under the Terrorism Act and held in a police cell for seven hours after joking on Twitter he would blow an airport ’sky high’ if his flight was delayed.

Paul Chambers, 26, posted the message after snowfall threatened to delay his plans to travel from Doncaster’s Robin Hood airport to Ireland on January 15.

The finance supervisor wrote: ‘C***! Robin Hood airport is closed.

‘You’ve got a week and a bit to get your s*** together, otherwise I’m blowing the airport sky high”

Police were alerted and Mr Chambers was arrested.

Paul Chambers made the comment on January 6 after snowfall threatened to delay his plans to travel to Ireland
