The rule of not having sex while preparing for a fight , ha gone out the window according to their “Reliable” source, who claims Mosley left his training camp in California on two occasions, to have sex with an unidentified woman. LAS VEGAS — Floyd Mayweather Jr. weighed in at 146 pounds on Friday afternoon, two pounds heavier than the weight stipulated in the contract for his comeback fight against lightweight champion Juan Manuel Marquez on Saturday night at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.
The excess weight will cost Mayweather $300,000 per pound, meaning Marquez will get an additional $600,000 on top of his $3.2 million guarantee, a source told ESPN.com. Mayweather’s minimum guarantee is $10 million, a figure likely to dramatically increase after the pay-per-view receipts are counted.

RIO DE JANEIRO (AP) – Boxer Arturo Gatti’s death was ruled a suicide by police Thursday and a judge ordered the release of his wife, who was once suspected of killing the former champion.
Lead investigator Paulo Alberes told The Associated Press that authorities decided Gatti killed himself on July 11 while at a seaside resort in northeastern Brazil.

ATLANTA (AP)—Vernon Forrest, a former three-time champion who gained stardom when he became the first boxer to defeat “Sugar” Shane Mosley, was shot and killed during an apparent robbery in Atlanta, police said Sunday.
Atlanta Police Sgt. Lisa Keyes said in an e-mail Sunday that Forrest, 38, was shot “multiple times in the back” Saturday night. Keyes said there are no suspects.

SAO PAULO–The wife of former boxing champion Arturo Gatti was detained as a suspect by Brazilian authorities today following his death at a posh seaside resort.
Police said 23-year-old Amanda Rodrigues was taken into custody after contradictions in her interrogation. Gatti’s body was found early Saturday in a hotel room at the Porto de Galinhas resort in northeastern Brazil.

PHOENIX – Boxer Mike Tyson’s 4-year-old daughter is on life support after she was found with her neck caught in a cord of a treadmill machine Monday, police said.
Exodus Tyson’s 7-year-old brother found her on a treadmill with her neck in the cord that dangles from the console of the exercise machine at their Phoenix home, police Sgt. Andy Hill said, calling it a “tragic accident.”

Sex offender Mike Tyson has started a new storm over his 1992 rape conviction, by calling victim Desiree Washington “that wretched swine of a woman”.
In a new documentary movie the boxer claims: “I have done no such thing as take away that woman’s chastity.”
Tyson was sentenced to six years imprisonment for raping the former Miss Black Rhode Island in an Indianapolis hotel room when she was 18. He converted to Islam in jail and was released after serving three years.
He now complains that the period “took away my humanity and my reputation”.
The fighter, 42, says he is “crass and coarse” and admits to “taking advantage of women” in the past, but he continues to protest his innocence in the case.
He adds: “When I was falsely accused of raping that wretched swine of a woman, Desiree Washington, it was the most horrible time of my life. The most heinous day of my life.”

Sarah Blewden, 25, took up the sport two years ago to keep fit and hoped to enter competitive bouts after discovering she had a natural talent.
But the Amateur Boxing Association of England (ABAE) turned down her application on the grounds that the breast enlargement she underwent in 2003 put her at greater health risk.
“International rules forbid anyone with breast implants continuing to box because of risk of damage to the breast tissue,” said Tony Attwood, chairman of the ABAE.
“The natural breast tissue is pushed forward in front of the implant and it is this that is more at risk.”
Repeated punches to the breast could also lead to distortion known as capsular contracture, he said.
Miss Blewden from Poole, Dorset, who runs a hair salon, said that the decision was “ridiculous” and said she would be happy to pay for corrective surgery to repair any damage to her 32C breasts.
“My surgeon said they make me no more vulnerable than any other woman. They are not enormous ones – they are in proportion. They are gel implants and not liquid so they won’t burst.”
She added: “Women haven’t been allowed to box for that long and this is an obstacle I want to get over so other women like me won’t have the same problem.”
The ABAE said that it had hoped to develop a protective breast plate to allow women like Miss Blewden to box competitively, but research funding had been withdrawn.
Women’s boxing is not currently an Olympic sport, but Tessa Jowell, the Olympics Minister wants to change the rules to open all events to both sexes for London 2012.
Ms Jowell said: “I think it’s wrong that women can’t compete in as many events as men. Women’s sport has come on leaps and bounds so it’s high time there was equal opportunity at the Olympics.”
